Today we’re saying hi to our Rockingham Leather Doctor – Yosh Parmar. Yosh manages The Leather Doctor Rockingham territory in Western Australia. We spoke to him about his reasons for joining The Leather Doctor and his plans to grow the business. Here’s what he had to say…

What was it that attracted you to join The Leather Doctor business?

Since I moved to Australia, I’ve had the dream of running a business that would provide a combination of financial security, flexibility, balance of work and family life and helping people. I spet quite a while undertaking due diligence and looking for the right opportunity. The Leather Doctor proved to be a great franchise model that perfectly matched my requirements, giving possibilities to grow and develop my future prospects. There is also great support from Leather Doctor team.

What did you do prior to becoming a Leather Doctor?

I have spent 14 years in the signage and branding industry. Back in Africa I successfully ran a digital signage business; and for the past 8 years in Perth I have been in supervisory or managerial roles. My last position was with a local government in Perth, as a branding officer.

What territory do you manage?

I manage the Rockingham territory in WA, which covers areas from north of Hope Valley to south of Singleton, and from the coast of Rockingham to the far east of Jarrahdale. Major areas such as Baldivis are also serviced.

What do you hope to achieve during your time as a Leather Doctor? 

I’m looking forward to achieving skills and techniques that will allow me to perform and develop good relationships with people whilst meeting my business goals.

Tell us something interesting about yourself?

I love driving 4×4’s, target shooting,  spending quality time with family and friends. It’s also important to me is that my family and I volunteer with charities, to help others.

Describe your ideal weekend?

Most Saturdays I’m out  with family and friends, relaxing and enjoying ourselves. On Sundays, I’m usually helping a charity or spending time at home doing DYI’s or relaxing and refuelling for the coming week.
