It’s a warm welcome to our newest Leather Doctor, Nick, who will be servicing The Leather Doctor Runaway Bay territory in Queensland. We spoke to him about his reasons for joining The Leather Doctor and what he hopes to achieve with his business. Here’s what he had to say:
What was it that attracted you to join The Leather Doctor business?
I wanted a change in lifestyle and the opportunity to move away from a high pressure, large corporate environment to a job where I could work for myself and decide the hours I work.
What did you do prior to becoming a Leather Doctor?
I have a background in carpentry and shop fitting. For the past several years, I was a Site Manager for a large construction company.
What territory have you purchased?
I have purchased The Leather Doctor Runaway Bay territory – located on the North Gold Coast in Queensland.
What do you hope to achieve during your time as a Leather Doctor?
I look forward to building a successful business and building up a great customer base. Personally, I look forward to being able to work for myself, whilst being able to choose the hours I work and spend more time with my family.
What process did you go through to make sure The Leather Doctor was the right franchise for you?
I did a lot of due diligence – I asked lots of questions, spoke to existing franchisees, and sought professional legal and accounting advice to make sure that my understanding of the information I was receiving was correct. I also worked through the ‘numbers’ to make sure that it was viable and could be turned into the successful business I wanted.
What advice would you give to someone looking to purchase a franchise?
Ask lots of questions! Understand what the business and work entails. Go out on the road with a Leather Doctor to watch the work they actually do.
Tell us one interesting fact about yourself?
I lived in London for 3 years and I’ve travelled to more than 30 countries around the world.
Describe your ideal weekend?
Going camping with my family, riding dirt bikes, riding my Harley Davidson

Nick cleaned and conditioned 13 leather lounge seats , some were six years old . The white one’s look amazing , like brand new . The Australian made lounges silver grey , have a new lease of life , I will be getting Nick every 6 months ,to give my expensive lounges special care . Totally recommend Nick .
