It’s a warm welcome to our newest and very first Tasmanian Leather Doctor – Michael Stewart. He will be commencing operations servicing The Leather Doctor Hobart territory in Tasmania. We spoke to him about his reasons for joining The Leather Doctor and what he hope to achieve with his new business. Here’s what he had to say…
What was it that attracted you to join The Leather Doctor business?
I saw a Leather Doctor promotion on Facebook and was intrigued. I wanted to learn more about the products and techniques used in maintaining and restoring leather furniture.
Getting back into task-focused work was a focus of mine. That’s where my Leather Doctor journey began.
What did you do prior to becoming a Leather Doctor?
Before becoming a Leather Doctor I was a lawyer and mediator. So this is quite a transition for me!
What territory will you manage?
I will be managing the southern Tasmania territory, but will service the entire state as needed.
Tell us something interesting about yourself?
In my spare time I like to take off on my KTM adventure bike, explore Tasmania and doing a bit of camping.
Describe your ideal weekend?
On weekends, I like to sleep in, have breakfast in bed and stroll through Salamanca Market. Lunch is usually in one of the cafes there. After that I like to take in a movie, quiet evening at home with Netflix or maybe go for a day ride on my bike.
